Lapis Lazuli

So my dad just informed me that I was up until about 4:00 in the morning working on this. COULDN'T BE MORE HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS THOUGH.

So Lapis Lazuli may be my absolute favorite gem in the entire Steven Universe series. She's such a wonderfully dynamic character with an incredibly talented voice actress. Every time she speaks, I feel for her character. On top of that, she has one of the most intense stories I've ever seen and the coolest powers ever.

I'm still learning how to do hair, but I think I'm getting better at it. The ripples in the water were a challenge, but they turned out alright. I've never drawn water before, but this was a lot of fun. I think I'm definitely going to try doing more liquids in the future.

Anyway, I hope you guys like it- I worked really hard on this one.

(Side note: If you haven't seen Steven Universe yet, it's the greatest cartoon you're not watching. I'm so happy that kids are finally getting well-written shows with lore, intelligent plots and character development again)
